Pstars About 10/20/10
Pstars is my 10 year old Arabian. We believe he had EPSM so its hard for him to build muscle and to move his body in the way that I want him to. This is the first day of me asking him to do allot of bending.

Cowboy 10/19/10
Cowboy is a 5 year old Half Arab. My aunt owns him. He is here for a month or so for me to ride. Hes Pstars' nephew and Klark's grand nephew. :)
Major Khemotion 10/19/10
Major is a 6 year old arab. This is just us doing some circle work and moving off leg
Bailey 10/18/10
Monday I worked on trotting off of leg and crossing over in front. It was hard for Bailey to trot forward off of leg because I'm always doing collected work with him and when you touch him with leg his first reaction is to lope.

BaileySon 10/17/10
I've always wanted to rein Bailey. So I went on YouTube and started watching videos on sliding stops and spins. Yesterday I just rode him and played around with stops as I would normally.

Captain- A short history and what he is currently doing
Captain is a odd horse. He is very sweet but he is also very nervous. He can be ridden but has recently been displaying some behaviours that are unwanted. He came from a woman who had him alone in her back yard. He was well cared for and she had some groundwork training put on him. From what she told us he came from out west and had been ridden but she didn't know much more than that. It was clear he had some abuse from the way he reacted to people. He wanted to get attention but was very nervous of it. When we got him to the farm I started riding him and he was fine. I could move him around with leg and he went on the bit. But he started having some issues with rearing and I decided we needed to take more time with ground work before I got back on.
So I decided to put him into 6 months of consistent training. We are on week three of Training...
-Week one Captain was Tacked up and Bited in the round pen. I bited him for about a hour each side and a hour straight back. And then lunged for about 20 minuets with side reins. He reared a few times when being lunged but nothing major.
-Week two Captain wore a surcingle with two empty laundry detergent bottles hanging off each side. When I first put them on he would tear around the round pen but after a few days he realized he didn't have to run.
-Week three I have been ground driving Captain. The first day he was much better than I expected. The second day the rearing came out again but he worked through it without it being to traumatic on either of us.
And the third day (today) he was great.
Here is a short clip from day one.

We also have seven other horses at the farm...

Sunny is a 5 year old Pony. She is owned by Grace. she got her in February as her first project pony. I now use her in my lesson program.
Della is a 17 year old Arabian Mare. She is owned by Jean. I also use her in my lesson program.
Blue is a 17 year old Trottingbred. He is My moms pony. He came with Bailey as his pulling partner. and we have owned him sense 2001
Iroc is a 20+ year old pony. He was my very first pony. I used him in lessons and now he is retired
Molly is a 6 year old pony. She is another rescue that i was hoping would come around and be okay for the lesson program. But something horrible must have happened in Molly's life because she cannot get over some of her issues. She is living her life out with Iroc as a "guard pony"

Nine Horses.
Alright- I wanted a place to write about some of my training projects. so we will see how long this lasts :)
Here are four horses at my farm I am focusing on this winter with a short description of each. I will go into more detail on each later.
Captain- a 10 year old Quarter Horse. he is a rescue I am restarting. he has been with us sense February 2010. I hope to get him safe to ride and sell him in the spring.
Basil- a 4 year old POA rescued from the feed lot. he is here on a two month trial. I will be starting under saddle. He has been here for a week and a half. I hope he will work out in my lesson program.
Kashi- a 3 year old Morab. Starting under saddle. he has been here for two months. He is a project for myself and one of my students. She will be doing allot of the training under my supervision. I am hoping to get him show ready for the spring.
Tyke- 6 year old Paint. I saddle broke her last spring. She been with us for a year and a half. I am trying to get her calm and sane enough for my lesson program. And I also have plans of breeding her soon.
And then here are four of my Arabians I am always working with for shows. And my first project pony who was my inspiration for all the others.
RH Konstellaion- 12 years old, he was my first Arab. I got him as a yearling. he foundered from December 2007- December 2009, and is currently getting back into work. he is also Insolent resistant and has a thyroid disease so i am constantly watching his diet.
RA Pstars About- 10 years old. We believe he had EPSM so I constantly watch his diet also. I've had him sense he was born.
Major Khemotion- 6 years old. I bought him as a 3 year old. He is a constant trouble maker. But he is amazing.
Wishing For Gold- 7 year old half Arab. I bought as a 5 year old untrained. In the two years I've had him he was treated for Limes disease. I started his training in western pleasure, and have recently done a little training in saddle seat.
Baileyson- 14 year old Andalusian Mustang X. I got Bailey as a 4 year old. he was a abused pulling pony. I jumped him in pony club as a kid and then at 6 I decided to start his training in western. He now teaches the older girls at the barn how to really ride ;)
